Half-Hearted

This is an emo post.
Last Sunday, we joined a gift-giving activity. First time ko. There were lots of kids na nag-aanticipate sa loob ng venue. At madame pa sa labas na di na nakapagpalista prior to the event. Super daming kids!

distribution of gifts (bags contain coloring books, goodies, etc.)

happy kids after receiving the gifts

After here, we transferred to Missionaries of Charities- Home of Joy of Sick Children. Across the street lang naman. Another party was being held, pero smaller group of kids. At special guest si Jollibee! Bawal picturan ang kids, kasi nga they are special. But Im sure all of them had a good time.

The nuns invited us to go inside. Nashocked ako. Andameng maysakit na bata. At first nagshake ako so di ako makalakad towards the aisle.
Nakakadurog pala ng puso yung makakita ng ganun in real life. They seem so helpless. Honestly sinipon ako ng two minutes dahil pinigilan kong di maluha.

There are two kids na nakakuha agad ng attention ko. Una yung nahihirapan huminga, at nakatirik yung mata niya. I held her hand para malaman niyang someone is around. And I whispered a prayer for her. The second ay yung batang nagchi-chill. I also touched the kid while saying a prayer.
Heartbreaking talaga. I told you this is an emo post.

Kids here have families pero di sila kaya alagaan so nandito sila. Hobby siguro nila magdaldalan araw-araw, dahil crib-mates sila! Walang choice. Do they really have to stay in the cribs whole day, except for eating and ligo time? Look!

I've been there when I was still in college.

Di ko malilimutan yung trip namin dyan before...

Christ is within us kaya let's share it to others not just during Christmas but all round year.

Merry Christmas Chyng!

it's a great feeling to see people come together and share whatever they have to make other people happy. na-experience ko rin maging factory worker para i-pack yung goodies na part ng stuff na mare-receive ng 700 kids. mukhang madali lang, pero mahirap pala siya. masakit sa likod. haha. at ginawa rin yun ng barkada ng mga kapatid ko last year. all the effort that my sisters and sisters' friends (special mention to heidie and icar) put into this activity is remarkable and i am really proud of them. i'm happy na nakasama tyo sa kanila. ibang feeling talga.

i would like to believe na hindi tayo sabit lang dun. kasi naki share naman tayo sa expenses at naki pack din naman ako. hehe. and actually, you just did your share. by letting the other bloggers out there know that these activities are possible. that a good deed may not need great effort, simple acts of kindness would do. being able to inspire people into action is an accomplishment. if bloggers out there are really interested with these type of activities, pwede naman pagplanuhan. gaya nga ng sabi ng most bloggers na nagcomment dito, ndi lang dapat pasko.

sana those kids will feel empowered and strive hard to finish their studies. tpos sila naman mag help next tym. that's a good way of paying it forward. i don't want to feel sad for them kse i know there's hope. my prayers go to the nuns, caretakers and supporters. may the good Lord continue to bless them and give them good health.

sobrang memorable ang 1/2 anniversary natin (ksama na cguro ung mga issue, hehe). not the typical wau to celebrate but it was great. happy 1/2 anniversary (+1 week)!

btw, i didn't even notice the spacing. i was drawn by the story and pictures. hehe.

pahabol #2: does this count as an entry? :9
